North Bay Annual Labour Day Picnic

The Labour Council’s popular picnic at the waterfront is back.Every year on Labour Day, Canada’s unions celebrate workers and their contributions and locally, unions and community leaders will gather at the North Bay waterfront on Monday September 5 at noon to highlight the issues that matter most to them.
The pandemic has renewed workers’ resolve, pushing them to demand better pay, improved working conditions, and benefits, says a news release.
“Canada’s unions are building on this momentum by encouraging workers to unionize and stand up to their employers with one strong, collective voice.”
The annual BBQ picnic is North Bay’s only Labour Day celebration. As usual, we will have free hot dogs, pop, and fun activities for families and children.”
