Time to Remember. Time to Act.International Overdose Awareness Day is August 31. Each year this event aims to raise awareness about overdose and that overdose is preventable. International Overdose Awareness Day remembers those who have died or sustained a permanent injury related to drug use. Join our local North Bay & Area International Overdose Awareness Day Planning Committee for a week of events in honour of those who have been affected by overdose.
North Bay in-person event: August 31st, 4:00pm – 7:00pm.
200 McIntyre Street East, Outside of City Hall at Leger Square.

Join us for virtual events, all are welcome, registration IS required:
• Naloxone training: August 29th, 1:30pm – 3:00pm • Naloxone training: September 2nd, 9:30am – 11:00am
• Online Substance Use (overdose awareness) discussion panel: Sept. 1st, 2:00pm – 4:00pm
This will be an interactive live panel of working professionals and individuals with lived experience who will have a healthy discussion around the awareness, importance, harm reduction, and prevention of overdoses as we honour those affected by overdose. Panelists will answer your questions and speak about substance use related trends and work occurring in the Nipissing and Parry Sound districts.
