The organization behind the Backpacks of Love campaign for the homeless has started a new initiative.
The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay is collecting donations to purchase winter boots for those in need.
Soles For Souls involves sponsorship of $50 to purchase boots.
They’re collecting monetary donations along with mitts and thermal socks early next month at the New Apostolic Church on Joseph Street.
- Thursday, Feb. 3 from 5-7 pm
- Friday, Feb. 4 from 5-7 pm
- Saturday, Feb. 5 from 1-3 pm.
The committee will then purchase boots and ensure that frontline organizations can provide the right size to the homeless in North Bay.
