Mattawa has lifted its flood-related State of Emergency.
Mayor Raymond Belanger says it comes after authorities downgraded the area to a flood outlook statement with both the Ottawa and Mattawa Rivers receding.
He says some of the next steps include removing the bladders around the lift stations, opening Mattawan Street to traffic, and more.
Belanger adds work crews continue to clean up damage from the severe rain and windstorm a couple weeks ago, with branch and tree removal still ongoing.
