Mattawa has lifted its flood-related State of Emergency.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority say a flood warning remains in effect for the Lake Nipissing Shoreline, La Vase River downstream of Lakeshore Dr, and Parks Creek.

The Ministry of Natural Resources – North Bay District, says the flood warning for the shoreline of Lake Nipissing and the Lake Temagami area has been extended to Tuesday.

The city is winding down sandbag filling stations due to decreased demand and stabilizing conditions on Lake Nipissing, although levels remain high.

The Municipality of West Nipissing says the Leduc Rd. bridge is closed until further notice due to flooding and a severe build-up of debris and logs.

The Ministry of Natural Resources has extended several flood warnings for the North Bay District to Friday.

Flood warnings from the Ministry of Natural Resources and North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority have been extended to Tuesday in several areas of the district.

A State of Emergency has been called in Mattawa. In an update from the town, Mayor Raymond Bélanger shared they were advised by authorities that the major damage flood level had been exceeded and will continue to rise over the next few days.
