Mike Baird is no longer a part of the North Bay Battalion franchise.
The team traded the 19-year-old left winger to the Windsor Spitfires for a fourth-round pick in the 2017 OHL priority selection. Â
Baird played three seasons with the Battalion, and was their second-ever draft pick after the franchise relocated from Brampton.
Baird accumulated 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points in 132 games and registered 196 penalty minutes.
Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says it’s a good trade for both teams and he wishes Baird all the best in the future.
