Police looking to identify two people after a Mattawa area break and enter

North Bay OPP is looking to the public for help in identifying two people in connection with a break and enter investigation in the Mattawa area.

Police say last Saturday (June 20), officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a rural property on Papineau Road in Papineau-Cameron Township, with the complainant reporting seeing people on the property via surveillance cameras shortly before 10:00 p.m.

Officers attended and believe bolt cutters were used to gain entry, but didn’t find anyone after a search of the area and nearby trails.

The two people seen on camera are described as wearing dark clothing and hooded sweatshirts, wearing balaclavas and carrying back packs.

Any person with information regarding this investigation should immediately contact the North Bay OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure tip online at www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
