Labour Council marking Labour Day with annual waterfront celebration

The annual Labour Day celebration at the North Bay waterfront takes place on Monday.

Local unions and the North Bay and District Labour Council are hosting the afternoon of fun.

Along with music and a barbecue, there’s bouncy rides and information booths involving community partners and unions.

Monday’s event takes place from noon to 3 pm.

Officials say the theme is ‘Workers Together’ as they fight for worker’s rights, good jobs, no bad trade deals, unions building Canada Strong, strong public services, and more.

A guest speaker will also focus on the importance of Mental Health/Wellness, and connection, especially with Labour and the workplace.
