Saturday, Sept. 19 is Goods Exchange Day in North Bay.
The city says the event, which takes place twice a year, is an opportunity to keep usable household items out of the landfill by passing them along to someone who can use them.
Residents can put usable, unwanted items at the curb of their residence for others to take, or browse their neighbourhood for items they can put to use.
“Furniture, small appliances, books, toys, sporting equipment, kitchenware and other household items in good condition are among the items typically exchanged,” states a release.
Officials say items should be placed at the curb after 8 am on Saturday and any remaining items must be removed by 6 pm.
