For three years running, Chippewa Secondary School has been recognized as one of the top 25 fundraising schools in Ontario by the Terry Fox Foundation.
Those fundraising efforts continue with this year’s school event on Tuesday.
Officials say along with it being a Scarlet and Gold Spirit Day, students in Grades 7-12 are taking part in a school-wide walk and pep rally as they honour Terry’s legacy of courage, determination, and hope.
Nearly $12,000 was raised last year for cancer research, with the school setting this year’s goal at $15,000.
They say fundraising efforts will continue throughout October.
