Culverts being replaced on Lakeshore Drive

If Lakeshore Drive, between Ferris Drive and Booth Road, is part of your commute, you may want to leave a little earlier for the foreseeable future.

Work on replacing twin culverts beneath Lakeshore Drive in that area starts Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Officials add the road will be reduced to one lane from 7 am to 7 pm, with two lanes to be maintained outside or construction hours.

Work is expected to take about five weeks.
