The Powassan Voodoos kick off their season tonight in Elliot Lake against the Wildcats.
The game is set for 7:30pm at Centennial Arena, and then on Saturday the boys will be back in Powassan for the second game of the home and home at 7:30pm. The Voodoos went 2-0 during the preseason.
The Voodoos are coming off a strong regular season campaign in 2015-2016, finishing at 40-10-3-1, good for second place in the Eastern division. But, in the playoffs they went down in six games in the opening round to the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners.
The Voodoos will play five of their eight games in September on home ice at the Powassan Sportsplex.
