Lots of local winners at Canadore Powerlifting competition

The 2016 North Bay Open Powerlifting Contest was took place at Canadore College’s Commerce Court gym on Sunday. The event was held at Canadore College’s Commerce Court gym and drew in 39 athletes.

On the men’s side, local lifters won three gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal. Local lifters won five gold medals in the women’s competition along with a silver medal and two bronze medals.

In the female competition, the gold medal winners were Kim Crumpton, Jennifer McConnell, Wendy Gomes, Chelsey Gaulin, and Regan Jackson. Trena Restoule won a silver medal, while Alexandra Wallace and Candace-Rose Joiner took home bronze medals.

On the male side, the local division winners were Adam Burke, Aaron Tsang, and Tim Wilson. Three lifters from Canadore also won medals, Dylan Greer, Jordan Franks, and Liam Macdonald.
