Home ice struggles continue as Battalion fall to Bulldogs

The North Bay Battalion gave up five goals in the first period on the way to an eventual 7-4 loss at the hands of the Hamilton Bull Dogs last night. The loss drops the Troops to 3-4 on the season, and they still only have one win on home ice this season.

Head Coach Stan Butler says his guys forgot to start on time. He doesn’t have an answer for why this has been a problem early in the year, but is looking forward and not backward.

The Troops are in Ottawa tomorrow for a game against the 67s, before heading off to Kingston on Sunday for a match up against the Frontenacs. Butler says consistency is the key for his group to be successful  going forward. Cam Dineen had two goals in the victory, while Brett McKenzie had a three point night.
