Powassan Voodoos early season success continues

The Powassan Voodoos overcame an early 1-0 deficit on the way to a convincing 5-1 over the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners yesterday. Brett Hahkala, Parker Bowman, Kyle Challis, Tyson Gilmour and Tyler Gervais-Rolfe did the scoring for the Voodoos in the home win.

The win gives the Voodoos an early season record of 9-3-1-0, which has them in 4th place overall in the league. The Rayside Balfour Canadians and the Soo Thunderbirds, 2nd and 3rd place overall, have both played 15 games. The Voodoos have only played 13.

The Voodoos look to move up the standings on home ice Friday night when they host the Rayside-Balfour Canadians.  Puck drop is set for 7:30pm at the Powassan Sportsplex.
