The North Bay Battalion got a big 6-4 victory over Sarnia yesterday thanks to a three-point night from Brett McKenzie. Both of McKenzie’s goals tied the game at different points, and he also assisted on the game winning goal.
It was a solid weekend overall for the Troops, who forced overtime against Windsor on Saturday before dropping the decision. The Troops are now tied with the Sudbury Wolves at 8-6-1 for top spot in the Central Division. The Battalion are also tied for second overall in the Eastern Conference. The London Knights come to town on Thursday for a big early season matchup against the Battalion.
