The Nipissing Lakers women’s hockey team is making history this season. Two seasons ago it was a playoff appearance, last season, it was a playoff run and this season, and this year it’s being ranked in the U Sports Top 10 rankings.
Thanks to a 5-1-0 start, the Lakers sit at number nine in the rankings.
The only loss of the season came Saturday against Brock. So far, 15 Lakers have earned a point through six games and 11 have scored. The Lakers will look to continue their hot start to the season when they hit the road and face Laurier and Waterloo this weekend.
