Battalion face off against defending Memorial Cup Champion London Knights tonight

The North Bay Battalion are back at the Gardens tonight taking on the Memorial Cup Champion London Knights. The Troops have been playing better of late, and this is a big early season test.

Head Coach Stan Butler says tonight will be a good evaluation of seeing what his team is made of. He made a comparison to climbing a ladder. Butler says if they don’t play to their best ability, they won’t have a chance to win and even if they play their best, they might still not win. Butler says before Christmas he’s only worried about his squad, but that doesn’t change the overall goal. He says he’s competitive, and his team is as well.

The Battalion are tied for 1st place in the Central Division at 8-6-1 record with Sudbury Wolves, and are only two points back of Oshawa for top spot in the conference. Puck drop at Memorial Gardens is set for 7:00pm.
