North Bay Battalion drop another game on home ice

The North Bay Battalion lost 3-2 to the Ottawa 67s last night, their 10th loss on home ice this season.

The Troops fired 42 shots on net, but could only beat Olivier Lafreniere twice. Brad Chenier and Steve Harland had the goals for the Battalion. Rookie goaltender Julian Sime made 22 saves in the loss, dropping his record to 2-4 since joining the Troops.

Head Coach Stan Butler says they gave a good push, but they missed too many opportunities. Butler says they’re making bad plays at the wrong times, and giving away too many scoring chances. The Battalion have one game remaining before the Christmas break, taking on the Peterborough Petes on Sunday afternoon.
