Battalion head into Christmas break with home loss to Peterborough

The North Bay Battalion finished their pre-Christmas schedule with a 5-2 loss to Peterborough yesterday. Brett McKenzie and Daniil Vertiy had the goals for the Troops. Rookie goaltender Julian Sime made 25 saves in the loss.

Peterborough scored three goals in the third period for their eighth straight win. The Battalion still sit in first place in the Central Division with 32 points, despite being below .500 heading into Christ. The Sudbury Wolves sit two points behind them. The Troops are back in action on December 28th when they take on the Owen Sound Attack.
