Powassan Voodoos look to continue unbeaten streak against the Soo Eagles

The Powassan Voodoos return to action tonight, looking to continue their unbeaten streak of 26 straight games. It’s no longer a winning streak however, after a 2-2 tie last Sunday against the Kirkland Lake Goldminers.

The Voodoos opponent tonight is the Soo Eagles, the 4th place team in the Western Conference. The Voodoos continue to sit atop both the Eastern Conference, and the entire NOJHL. Their record of 32-3-1-1 is good for 66 points, nine points ahead of the 2nd overall Soo Thunderbirds, the top team in the West.

Puck drop tonight in Sault Ste. Marie is set for 7:30pm, and then the top two teams will clash on Saturday when the Voodoos meet the Thunderbirds. Closing out the weekend will be a Sunday matinee game against the Blind River Beavers.
