North Bay Battalion play host to Sudbury Wolves on Centennials night at Memorial Gardens

The annual North Bay Centennials alumni game is tonight at 7:00pm when the Sudbury Wolves come to town. The Battalion will dress in replica uniforms worn by the 1993-94 OHL Championship team, with some Centennials alumni in attendance.

Troops Head Coach Stan Butler believes it makes sense to have the game against their regional rivals from Sudbury. Butler says there’s a great tradition of the North Bay Centennials here in North Bay and it’s something that they respect as an organization and want to continue to honour.

The game on the ice between the Battalion and the Wolves is a big one in the standings. The Troops are six points back of the Wolves with a game in hand. The Battalion are tied with the Niagara Ice Dogs for 8th place in the Eastern Conference with 37 points, but by virtue of a game in hand are holding down the final playoff spot.
