North Bay Battalion lose again, now three points out of a playoff spot

A tough weekend for the North Bay Battalion culminated in a 7-4 loss to the Oshawa Generals yesterday. Rookies Alex Robert and Andy Baker both scored their first OHL goals in the loss, and Justin Brazeau had the other two goals for the Troops.

Yesterday’s loss followed a 4-0 loss to the Niagara Icedogs on Saturday, which bumped the Troops from the playoffs. Overall, the Battalion have lost five straight games since they beat Sarnia 7-4 on February 2nd.

The Troops sit in 9th place in the Eastern Conference, three points back of the Ottawa 67’s for the last playoff spot. They’ll be in action again on Thursday night taking on the Niagara Icedogs, who currently sit in 7th place four points ahead of the Battalion. Only 15 games remain in the OHL regular season.
