Full-event passes for 2018 Ford World Women’s go on sale this Friday

The 2018 World Women’s Curling Championship isn’t happening until March of next year, but fans in North Bay will get their first crack at being a part of the event this week. Full event packages for the championship go on sale this Friday at 10:00am. The championship is scheduled for March 17th to the 25th at Memorial Gardens, and many of the teams that will have played for gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics will be in attendance.

The cost for a full-event package is $379 plus applicable service charges, and that will guarantee the same seat for all 22 draws. That includes the round-robin, playoffs, bronze-medal and gold-medal game and potential tiebreakers. Officials say event will bring together the best of women’s curling, including the possibility of many teams that will have played for gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

Packages will be available at the Memorial Gardens box office, online at curling.ca/tickets or by calling 705-474-0626 (ext. 2700) or 705-495-8603.

The 2018 Ford Worlds will also feature the Patch, the world-famous party area located a short shuttle ride away at the North Bay Granite Club, where people can meet the athletes and fellow curling fans from around the world. Live music, dancing, drinks and food, as well as interactive activities for the entire family will be a part of the Patch.
