Three first period goals powered the Powassan Voodoos past the Kirkland Lake Goldminers 5-1 in Game 3 of their Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League East Division semi-final on Tuesday night.

Tyson Gilmour, son of Maple Leafs legend Doug, had a two goal night. While Tyler Gervais-Rolfe, Brett Hahkala, and Shane Beaulieu added the other goals for the Voodoos. Powassan goaltender Nate McDonald made 26 saves in the victory.
