The Powassan Voodoos are heading to the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League finals after defeating the Timmins Rock 7-2 on Wednesday in Game 4 of their East Division Final.

The Voodoos broke out the brooms after completing the 3rd round sweep of the Rock last night. Parker Bowman and Tyson Gilmour led the way for Powassan in Game 4, with a goal and two assists each. Gary Mantz, Andy Baker and Tyler Gervais-Rolfe all had two point efforts in the victory. North Bay native Nate McDonald improved to 8-0 in the postseason, and made 30 saves in the victory.

They will now face either the Blind River Beavers or Soo Eagles for the Copeland Cup – McNamara Trophy league championship. Blind River currently leads that series 2-1 heading into Game 4 Friday night in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan at 7:00pm.
