Powassan Voodoos gearing up for the Dudley-Hewitt Cup

After a clean sweep of the Blind River Beavers to win the NOJHL’s Copeland Cup – McNamara Trophy, the Powassan Voodoos are getting ready for this year’s Dudley-Hewitt Cup. The Voodoos will represent the NOJHL at the Central Canada Jr. A Championship that gets underway on May 2nd and runs until May 6th in Trenton, Ontario. They will face the Trenton Golden Hawks (Host-OJHL), Georgetown Raiders (OJHL) and Dryden GM Ice Dogs (SIJHL) to compete for a berth in the RBC Cup Canadian Jr. A Championship set for May 13th to the 21st in Cobourg, Ontario.

The Voodoos completed the NOJHL playoffs without a single loss, running the table 12-0 and will look to continue that success next week. Powassan opens the tournament against the Trenton Golden Hawks on Tuesday, May 2nd at 7:30pm. Next up is the Dryden GM Ice Dogs on Wednesday, May 3rd at 2:30pm before wrapping up the round robin against the Georgetown Raiders on Thursday, May 4th at 2:30pm.
