North Bay Battalion will play 34 games on home ice in 2017-18, and open season against the Barrie Colts

The North Bay Battalion will open the 2017-18 regular-season against the Barrie Colts on Friday, September 22nd at Memorial Gardens. It’s the fifth season for the Battalion in North Bay, and 34 games will be played on home ice this year. 16 Thursday games, 13 Sunday games, two Wednesday games, two Friday games and one Monday games.

The Troops host their annual Thanksgiving Monday game on October 9th against the Peterborough Petes at 2:00pm, and the Troops take on the Mississauga Steelheads on Sunday, December 31st in its annual New Year’s Eve game which will be a 1:00pm start. This is the third straight year that the Steelheads will be the opponent for the NYE game.

Home games on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday start at 7:00pm, while Sunday home games begin at 2:00pm except December 31st and January 28th. Within the Central Division, the Battalion take on the Sudbury Wolves eight times and Barrie, Mississauga and the Niagara IceDogs six times each. The Troops play East Division teams four times each and Western Conference opponents twice each, except for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, who will face off against the Battalion four times.
