The North Bay Battalion are in need of a new assistant coach. The Toronto Patriots of the Ontario Junior Hockey League have announced John Dean will be their new head coach starting next season.
This is the second straight season the Troops have lost an assistant coach. Long-time Battalion assistant coach Ryan Oulahen left the team last summer to become the head coach of the Flint Firebirds.
Dean, the former North Bay Centennials’ forward, joined the Battalion in July 2014 as an assistant coach.
