Berths in provincial college volleyball championships on the line

For the third time in the last four seasons, the Canadore men’s volleyball team is hosting a sudden death playoff.

After finishing the regular season with a record of 11-7 the Panthers head into Saturday’s matchup as the third seed in the eastern conference and will face the western conference’s sixth-ranked Conestoga Condors. The winner will advance to the OCAA Championships on February 22-24, in Barrie.

Head coach Mark Hopper is proud of what his team has achieved to this point in the season, and says it is an accomplishment to finish third in their conference. The goal has always been to advance to the OCAA Championships.

The sudden death playoff is set for 7:00pm on Saturday at the Education Centre Gymnasium.
