One in custody, warrant issued for second man in Beattie Street homicide

Some developments in the investigation into the shooting death of Abraham Kamerman, 45, of North Bay on Wednesday.

The North Bay Police Service Crime Unit has arrested one man and a Canada Wide Warrant has been issued for a second man. Both have been charged with second-degree murder.

From NBPS:

As a result of the continued investigation into the shooting that took place approximately 9:00pm on Wednesday, the North Bay Police Service has arrested 25-year-old Taylor Briscoe of North Bay.

Taylor Briscoe has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the shooting. Additional charges are anticipated as the investigation progresses.

The North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit arrested Briscoe without incident as he was observed leaving a residence in the city centre. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

A Canada-Wide Warrant for the arrest of 26-year-old Ryan Abraham (pictured) has also been issued on a charge of second-degree murder. Additional charges are anticipated as the investigation progresses.

The North Bay Police Service is reminding the public that Ryan Abraham has not yet been taken into custody and the firearm is still outstanding. Abraham should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Abraham currently has no known address but is believed to have ties in the Southern Ontario and London areas.

Anyone with information pertaining to this investigation or the whereabouts of Ryan Abraham is asked to contact police or their local Crime Stopper’s. The information supplied is anonymous and you may be eligible for a reward if your information results in an arrest.
