Two wins, second star of the week for Voodoos’ goalie

The first weekend of the NOJHL season has past and the league has named its inaugural three stars. Among the three selected is Powassan Voodoos goaltender Owen Say, at number two.

Say, in his first year with the Voodoos, saw action in two of the three games over the weekend for Powassan, winning both contests he started. All told, the netminder allowed three goals over the two games and made 56 saves as the Voodoos would defeat the Rayside Balfour Canadians 3-2 and 11-1.

The 18-year-old from London, Ontario, was brought in this season by Powassan after spending last year with the Komoka Kings of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. Say is also a London Knights prospect since being picked by the Knights in the eighth round in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.
