Another delay with the blasting of rock near the intersection of Seymour and Highway 11/17.
The contractor has advised the City of North Bay that more is needed with the installing of a storm sewer.
Originally the contractor had run into more rock than previously thought. As a result of the blasting, there will be delays to traffic through the area. The contractor anticipates that there will be reduced lanes during the blasting.
To minimize the disruption to traffic, the work is scheduled to take place between 9:00am and 3:00pm. The blasting will extend until Thursday October 17, and the situation will be reassessed at the end of the week.
During this time, travellers are being advised to account for extra time on their commutes or to take alternate routes.
