An 18-year-old girl from Kemptville has been charged after a mid-October fatal collision.
The collision happened on October 20th on Highway 17 near Corbeil Corners. Police say a vehicle was heading westbound with two people inside. The other car was heading in the opposite direction with four people inside when the collision happened.
A 74-year-old from Timmins, who died at the scene, was a passenger in the eastbound car. Three others were sent to the hospital with serious injuries.
The 18-year-old has been charged with:
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm (three counts)
The accused has been released and will appear before the North Bay court on February 4th.
