TP North Bay reaches its goal

TP North Bay has once again reached its goal.

That’s despite the eighth annual toilet paper fundraiser being a “nail-biter” in the last week of its campaign. Ellen Faulkner, co-chairwoman, says they needed 8,489 rolls during the last week, and on Monday, the last day of the campaign, they had reached 19,773.

Faulkner then put out a call on social media for a last-minute request of $10.

“Friends sent e-transfers right up to 10 pm last night. We received enough to put us over our goal with a total of 20,215 rolls. North Bay is amazing!” wrote Faulker in an e-mail.

“Our Mayor has always stated that we live in a caring community and he is correct”, year after year we have always received more than our goal and this is amazing and we are so grateful to each and every one of the rolls that we received to support our local food banks. Please remember our food banks all year round as the need continues long past our campaign,” added Vice Chair Angela Johnston.

TP North Bay distributed all of the TP raised during the campaign to organizations, and food banks on Tuesday.

“North Bay always followed through to the end,” finished Faulkner.

The organization thanked all who participated in making the campaign a successful one.
