OPP looking to identify person who approached student

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a complaint of an unknown person approaching an elementary student at a school bus stop on Highway 94 in East Ferris.

The OPP says officers responded just after 8:30 am on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

The unknown person is described as a male, 30-40 years of age, wearing a blue shirt and grey transparent glasses.

The person had a cut on the bridge of his nose and was wearing a mask.

Police say the person told the student that the bus was cancelled and the student’s mother asked him to take them back home.

OPP report the student was able to run home, lock the doors and then saw the person leave in a vehicle, which is described as; a white four-door vehicle (unknown type), which had rust on the bottom of the doors, a large scratch on the rear passenger door, a smaller scratch on the front passenger door, the front passenger headlight was broken, the rear taillight was in the shape of a triangle and there was something black inside the vehicle.
