Three North Bay Youth Volleyball Club Lakers teams won bronze medals at the Ontario Volleyball Association Provincial Championship.
The Lakers 13U Rapids, 14U Splash and 15U Riptide all won hardware.
Five other Lakers teams also competed at the championship event, which was held in Toronto from April 20-25.
“To have 3 of our NBYVC teams win medals at the Ontario Championships is unprecedented,” says Merv Shantz, club president. “Hundreds of teams from across the province are competing, and teams really have to bring it all together when it counts. We are so proud of all of our teams that competed at the OC’s and can only hope for an equally impressive season next year.”
The Lakers 14U Splash are continuing to prepare for the upcoming National Championships in Ottawa, May 5 -7.
