Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for our area.
Officials say we could get 10-15 cm of snow Thursday and it could be heavy at times, impacting visibility.
Strong winds are also expected and can cause blowing snow.
The system is expected to move out Thursday night.

“Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather,” states the advisory. “Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.”
The weather agency is advising people to take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
