$3.7 million worth of resurfacing improvements are coming to city roadways this year.
Council approved the annual Asphalt Resurfacing Program at Tuesday night’s meeting.
“We’re well-positioned this year to move forward with 28 different streets that have been identified,” says Councillor Lana Mitchell, Chair of Infrastructure and Operations. “As the year progresses there may be one or two that are added, finances permitting. But at the same time there’s a minimum that will be moving forward.”
A full list of streets is below.
The project also includes over $627,000 to rehabilitate the parking lot at Pete Palangio Arena.
Still at city hall, council approved an increase in transit fares.
A single ride is going up a quarter to $3.25 with various increases for monthly passes.
It’s the first increase in about nine years.
The new fares take effect Sept. 1.
