Highway 17 east of North Bay has reopened after a head-on collision killed two people this morning.
A release from the OPP says that at approximately 8:18am, officers from the North Bay Detachment of the OPP and the Township of Bonfield Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a minivan on Highway 17 in Bonfield.
As a result of the collision, two people have been confirmed deceased at the scene. Two Technical Collision Investigators conducted an investigation at the scene until the highway was reopened at 2:30pm.
The names of the deceased subjects are not being released at this time pending the notification of the next of kin.
