Clean Green Beautiful (CGB) North Bay’s New Community Garden Hub is officially open.

Officials say the shared space on the 500-block of Algonquin Avenue is designed to bring neighbours together, cultivate meaningful connections, support food security, and foster lifelong learning.

“Clean Green Beautiful North Bay has started a ‘Go Fund Me’ page to raise funds for much needed improvements that will enable us to grow more food for our community,” says Hariett Madigan, CGB North Bay Chair. “We will also offer volunteer opportunities, provide food security given the rising cost of produce, environmental and horticultural workshops, and other social events to bring back the community hub that previously thrived for 14 years.

CGB says the Community Garden Hub represents far more than a place to grow produce and flowers, it stands as a symbol of collaboration, inclusion, sustainability, and community spirit.

They say through the dedication of volunteers, local partners, and residents, a simple vision has blossomed into a vibrant and welcoming community space where people of all ages and backgrounds can connect, learn, and grow together.

The garden space was formerly associated with The Gathering Place.
