North Bay is once again a national Communities in Bloom winner.

The city has received two Outstanding Achievement Awards: the Teck Community Appearance Award and The Butchart Gardens Land Reclamation Award, recognizing the community’s efforts in enhancing public spaces and reclaiming land.

Awards were presented at a ceremony Oct. 17 in Montréal, Québec.

Officials say these achievements build on the City’s Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay initiative, which is helping lead efforts to enhance the community’s appearance, promote environmental stewardship, and create a cleaner, greener, and more welcoming city.

Building on this momentum, they’re hopeful North Bay will take part in the 2027 Communities in Bloom program.

They say it would provide an opportunity to bring residents, volunteers, community organizations, businesses, and municipal partners together to celebrate North Bay’s strengths and continue improving its public spaces, gardens, landscapes, and natural environment.

The Communities in Bloom program recognizes municipalities for achievements in environmental sustainability, green spaces, heritage conservation, and community involvement.
