A 32-year-old North Bay man is facing multiple criminal charges after the North Bay Police Service responded to a 911 call in the Thibeault Terrace area Saturday night.
Officers responded to reports of a disturbance shortly before 7:30pm in which police say the accused threatened his former partner from outside the residence.
Police report the accused produced a knife, displaying it in a dangerous manner. The accused resisted arrest before officers were able to safely secure the man and escort him to police headquarters.
The victim did not receive any physical injuries.
The man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing and is charged with:
- One count of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public
- One count of Uttering a Threat
- One count of Causing a Disturbance
- One Count of Resisting Arrest
- Two counts of Breach of Probation
In order to protect the identity of the victim, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name of the accused.
