Teddy Bear Toss Night a success

Over 800 area kids and the North Bay Santa Fund are benefiting from Thursday night’s Teddy Bear Toss at the North Bay Battalion game.

809 stuffed animals rained down on the ice after the Troops’ first goal and will be donated to local charities to be given out to area children.

“The total represents almost 150 more stuffed animals than last year,” says John McLellan, Sr. Manager Marketing & Business Development with the North Bay Battalion. “We thank Battalion fans for continuing to give to our community along with The Brick.”

He also says if charities are interested in some of the stuffed animals they can contact the Battalion office.

The Brick North Bay was selling Brickley Bears at the game with funds being split between the North Bay Santa Fund and Children’s Miracle Network.

“The total count for Bears purchased at the game (Thursday) night was 258 and the stick was auctioned off for $300,” says Beth Jackson, Store Manager.

Elaina Watkinson, Administrative Assistant Bookkeeper at The Brick North Bay, dropped off a $2730 cheque for the North Bay Santa Fund at our Vista Radio stations Friday morning.
