North Bay man facing a slew of charges following damage to vehicles

A 28-year-old North Bay man has been arrested by police after causing significant damage to vehicles and his own apartment. According to police, on Saturday morning the man caused extensive damage to the inside of his apartment on Second Avenue East. Then he went outside and smashed the windshield and two windows of a vehicle parked in the driveway of the same rental property.

From there he entered the backyard of another residence on Second Avenue East, where he removed a can of diesel and proceeded to spill the fuel onto the driveway and down the middle of the road. A short time later, he broke the tail light of another vehicle parked in a driveway on Wyld Street. Police located and arrested the man on Wyld Street a little later. A search after his arrest revealed that he was in possession of 13 methamphetamine pills, which police seized as evidence.

The man is facing seven charges in total. Three counts of mischief under $5,000, one count of trespass by night, one count of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of breach of probation. He was held in custody for bail.
