Police reach out to community for Crime Prevention Week

It’s Crime Prevention Week in Ontario and North Bay Police Service will be offering various public presentations.

This year’s theme is “Building Safer Communities Together.”

The investigative support section of the North Bay Police Service will be giving presentations this week to seniors on internet scams and elder abuse.

As part of Crime Prevention Week, School Resource Officers will also be providing presentations on Internet Safety and the Law to each secondary school.

There will also be a public presentation open to the public and geared to parents on internet safety, sending of inappropriate images, and cyber bullying. The goal of the meeting is to give parents and guardians tools on how to keep children safe. The presentation will be held in the lower lecture room at police headquarters this Thursday at 7:00 pm.
