Up to 150 runners and 35 police cruisers will roll into North Bay Thursday for the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. The event will act as part of a launch to the Special Olympic Ontario Winter Games that kick off in North Bay that night. The run starts at 5:30 from Memorial Drive, and will wind along Main Street to Sherbrooke, past City Hall, finishing on Fraser Street. Drivers are asked to use an alternate route between 5:30 and 6:15 Thursday, and to cheer on the runners. Opening Ceremonies for the Winter Games kick off at Nipissing University from 7-9 PM.
