Eight drivers have been hit with speeding tickets by the North Bay Police Service following a targeted traffic enforcement.
The enforcement took place over a three-hour period Tuesday morning on Lakeshore Drive. Two drivers were clocked going 74 kilometres an hour, the speed limit in the area is 50 kilometres an hour.
Constable Ken Ayres, who watched speeding motorists pass vehicles travelling the speed limit as if they were standing still, says people are still not getting the message.
The police plan to continue traffic enforcements on Lakeshore, and other areas of the city.
