The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating the death of a 38-year-old Ottawa man. Around 1:30pm yesterday, Emergency Medical Services called police for help at an apartment building at 365 Lakeshore Drive. At 2:30 pm, the man fell from the building to the ground below. He was pronounced dead.
Three investigators and one forensic investigator have been assigned to investigate this incident. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow in Sudbury. The Special Investigations Unit is a civilian agency that investigates death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault in incidents involving police.
