The North Bay Recovery Home launches new logo

The North Bay Recovery Home has refreshed its brand image to better reflect the work done at their addictions recovery and treatment facility. Executive Director Wendy Prieur says they’ve just marked 47 years of helping people and saving lives, and their new branding, created with a local marketing and communications firm better reflects their current role in assisting people overcome potentially fatal addictions. The new logo and tagline were developed by Sofa Communications, after extensive research with staff, members of the board of directors, and clients that have completed treatment at the Recovery Home.

Prieur says the image uses welcoming colours, and imagery that implies both a soothing sunset and sunrise over Lake Nipissing, as well as a hint of an abstract figure with open arms. Their location is at 393 Oak Street West, near the community’s waterfront, one of the reason behind the design. Prieur added the tagline ‘Open our door, change your life’ really drives home the fact that their team of professionals is here to help people when they need it the most. She says the Recovery Home recently held a staff retreat to update their mission, vision and values, and felt that a new look and image was needed as well. They also expect to launch a new website this summer.

Board Chair David Lamothe is pleased to see a new image, and says it’s time more people knew about the work done around the clock through the facility. Lamothe says it really is a home, a place where the staff change lives and save lives. He says they’re respected throughout Ontario for what they do, but locally they’ve been one of North Bay’s best kept secrets but the new logo will help change that. The home is primarily funded through the North East Local Health Integration Network, but they also welcome donations and fundraising opportunities.
